Chili Farming Questions

Which insecticide is best for thrips on chili?

Spinosad 45% SC (0.3 ml/L) or Fipronil 5% SC (1.5 ml/L) are the most effective for thrips on chili. Rotate with Emamectin Benzoate 5% SG to prevent resistance. Spray in the evening when thrips are active.

How to control anthracnose (dieback) in chili?

Spray Azoxystrobin 23% SC (1 ml/L) or Carbendazim + Mancozeb (2 g/L) preventively every 10–14 days during humid weather. Remove and destroy infected fruits and stems. Ensure proper field drainage.

What is the recommended fertilizer dose for chili?

For hybrid chili: 200 kg N + 100 kg P₂O₅ + 150 kg K₂O per hectare. Apply P and K as basal, split N into 5–6 applications via drip or top dressing. Supplement with Calcium, Boron, and Zinc foliar sprays at flowering and fruiting.
