Quick Verdict
Choose Nativo for wheat rust, powdery mildew and chilli disease complexes where the product label permits. Choose Amistar Top when you need broader plant-health effects and protection against blast, early blight or leaf spot in label-approved crops. When in doubt, send photos to the Farmkart agronomy team before spraying.
Nativo vs Amistar Top Comparison
Both are premium combination fungicides. The better choice depends on disease target, crop, label registration and current price per acre.
| Product | Active ingredient | Best for | Dose | PHI | Price / acre | Farmkart |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bayer Nativo | Tebuconazole 50% + Trifloxystrobin 25% WG | Wheat rust, powdery mildew, blast, anthracnose | 0.5 g per litre water | 7 days | Check current price | Buy Nativo |
| Syngenta Amistar Top | Azoxystrobin 18.2% + Difenoconazole 11.4% SC | Blast, early blight, leaf spot, downy mildew | 1 ml per litre water | 7 days | Check current price | Check availability |
Which One Should You Choose?
| Use case | Recommended option | When to use |
|---|---|---|
| Wheat rust or powdery mildew | Choose Bayer Nativo | Use when rust, mildew or mixed cereal fungal disease is the main concern. |
| Rice or tomato plant-health programme | Consider Amistar Top where available and label-permitted | Use when broader leaf spot, blight or blast protection is needed. |
| Resistance management | Rotate Nativo and Amistar, do not tank-mix them | Both include strobilurin chemistry, so rotation is safer than combining. |
How to Decide Before Buying
Match product to disease first
Nativo is the stronger fit when rust and powdery mildew are the main target, especially in wheat. Amistar Top is a broader plant-health fungicide often considered for rice, tomato, potato and fruit crops where label registration applies.
Compare formulation and dose
Nativo 75 WG is commonly applied at about 0.5 g per litre. Amistar Top SC is commonly discussed around 1 ml per litre. Always follow the pack label because crop, disease and PHI vary.
Ask before mixing
Do not mix two strobilurin-containing fungicides by default. If disease pressure is complex, consult an agronomist and build a rotation rather than a high-cost tank mix.

Resistance and Label Notes
Both products include strobilurin chemistry. Avoid unnecessary repeat sprays from the same group. Do not tank-mix unless an agronomist and the product labels both support it. Follow crop-specific label directions for dose and pre-harvest interval.
Nativo vs Amistar Questions
Is Nativo better than Amistar for wheat rust?
Yes, Nativo is usually the better fit for wheat rust because its tebuconazole component has strong triazole activity against Puccinia rust fungi. ICAR wheat rust research supports strong tebuconazole performance under trial conditions.
Can I mix Nativo and Amistar together?
No. Both contain strobilurin chemistry, so mixing can increase resistance pressure and cost without a clear benefit. Use them in rotation only when both are label-permitted for the crop and disease.
Which is cheaper, Nativo or Amistar per acre?
The per-acre cost depends on pack size, current market price and dose. Check current Farmkart pricing before deciding. In practice, the cheaper product is not always better if it targets the wrong disease.
