Antracol Fungicide (Propineb 70% WP) — Broad-Spectrum Contact Fungicide with Zinc
Antracol is a contact fungicide from Bayer containing Propineb 70% WP. It is widely used for the preventive control of late blight, downy mildew, leaf spots and anthracnose on potato, tomato, grapes, chilli, rice and vegetable crops. Antracol also supplies chelated zinc to the crop, improving foliage quality and greening.
How It Works (Mode of Action)
Propineb is a multi-site contact fungicide (FRAC Group M3 — dithiocarbamate). It inhibits several enzymes involved in fungal spore germination and mycelial growth simultaneously. Because it acts on multiple targets, the risk of resistance development is very low. It must be applied preventively — before the disease outbreak — for best results.

Always spray Antracol before disease appears or at the very first symptom. Waiting until the disease is established reduces its effectiveness significantly.
Zinc Benefit
Propineb contains approximately 15% chelated zinc. Regular use of Antracol helps correct mild zinc deficiency in crops, leading to deeper green leaf colour, better leaf size and improved photosynthesis — especially noticeable in paddy, maize and vegetable crops on zinc-deficient soils.
