FAQs

Paddy Farming Questions

Which fungicide is best for paddy blast?

Tricyclazole 75% WP (0.6 g/L) is the first choice for blast control in paddy. Spray at boot leaf stage and again at heading. Isoprothiolane 40% EC is a good alternative for neck blast.

How to control brown planthopper (BPH) in paddy?

For BPH, drain the field before spraying. Use Dinotefuran 20% SG (0.5 g/L) or Buprofezin 25% SC (1 ml/L) aimed at the base of the plant. Avoid indiscriminate use of broad-spectrum insecticides that kill natural enemies.

What is the recommended nitrogen dose for paddy?

For hybrid paddy: 120–150 kg N/ha in 3 splits - 1/3 as basal, 1/3 at active tillering, and 1/3 at panicle initiation. For high-yielding varieties: 100–120 kg N/ha in the same splits.
