Wheat Farming Questions

Which fungicide is best for wheat rust?

Propiconazole 25% EC (0.1%) or Tebuconazole 25.9% EC (0.1%) are the most effective fungicides for all three types of wheat rust (yellow, brown, and black). Spray at first appearance and repeat after 15 days if needed.

What is the recommended urea dose for wheat?

For wheat, the standard N dose is 120 kg/ha for timely sowing and 80 kg/ha for late sowing. Apply 1/3 as basal (pre-sown), 1/3 at CRI stage (21 DAS), and the remaining 1/3 at tillering. Always apply urea before irrigation.

How to treat zinc deficiency in wheat?

Zinc deficiency (white bud) is common in wheat. Apply Zinc Sulphate (ZnSO₄) at 25 kg/ha as soil application, or foliar spray 0.5% ZnSO₄ + 0.25% lime twice at 7-day intervals.
